VIDEO: Highlights from Extreme Sailing Series – Act One

There was a festival atmosphere in Muscat, Oman both on shore and on the water in what proved to be a thrilling opening Act on March5-8  for the 2013 Extreme Sailing Series. In classic Extreme Sailing Series style, it came down to the final race for the winner to be decided, with Leigh McMillan denying Roman Hagara his first ever Act win in the final minutes. For the new skippers on Realteam, GAC Pindar and Team Korea who joined the party in Oman, each has showed moments of brilliance, a sign of things to come this year in what is shaping up to be the closest Series to date.

Alinghi’s newest recruit, Morgan Larson looks forward at the new Season.
The biggest transfer news of the 2013 Series is Morgan Larson, who steered Oman Air to second place last season, and this year joins Ernesto Bertarelli’s Alinghi as tactician. Larson talks about the transition to the Swiss team and finding his way on the boat.
