Battle on San Francisco Bay… a non-America’s Cup story

Published on March 28th, 2013

On March 23-24, San Francisco Yacht Club won the 2013 San Francisco Cup over St. Francis Yacht Club by a score 3-1. The racing was held on The City Front with each race consisting of a double windward-leeward course of about an hour in length. The SFYC team, led by Commodore Tad Lacey, was awarded the Cup at 1:15 on Sunday at St. Francis Yacht Club and then brought it back across the bay, by boat, to its new home at The San Francisco Yacht Club.
