Good news for Chicago suburb

Wilmette, IL (April 18, 2013) – The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District this morning reversed course and awarded a 39-year lease to the private Wilmette Harbor Association, assuring North Shore boaters they’ll have a place to dock their vessels this summer. The district earlier this month had voted 4-3 not to renew the association’s lease – a move that likely would have shuttered the harbor for the season. But the 9-0 vote this morning as the district reconsidered that decision left association supporters smiling. – Chicago Tribune, read on
