VIDEO: An environmental tragedy

Published on May 27th, 2013

The Midway Atoll is a 2.4-square-mile atoll in the North Pacific Ocean. As its name suggests, Midway is roughly equidistant between North America and Asia, and lies almost halfway around the world from Greenwich, England.

On one of the remotest islands on our planet, tens of thousands of baby albatrosses lie dead on the ground, their bodies filled with plastic from the Pacific Garbage Patch. This is the trailer for the feature film “MIDWAY” which expects to be released late 2013.
