O’pen Bic World Championships

(August 4, 2013) – At the O’pen Bic World Championships in Riva del Garda, Italy, Lars Von Sydow from the Hawaii Kai Boat Club is in 16th place in the U-16 fleet of 99 junior sailors, while Juan Nores from the Miami Yacht Club racing in the U-13, is in 11th place (out of a fleet of 56). Also from the MYC in 17th & 18th place respectively in U-13 are Phillip Palma and Manuel Nores. Today was the second and pen-ultimate day of the event and saw the implementation, for the first time in this juvenile class, a slalom course like used in windsurfing. Full story
