Al Terhune wins Thistle Nationals

Sandusky, OH (August 9, 2013) – With only one race on the final day for the 109 boats at the Thistle U.S. National Championship, it was all on with Chris Laboard and Al Terhune tied on points for the lead. But the anticipated battle never developed, with Terhune in the lead pack while Laboard was off the radar. Terhune, sailing with Katie Terhune and Samantha Parisi, finished fifth in the race to take the tile. Unfortunately for Laboard, the storybook ending failed to arrive, posting a 33 to drop to 7th overall.
