ILYA Championship – C Scow

Fifty-seven boats gathered in Milford, IA on August 8-10 to compete in the Inland Lake Yachting Association’s C Scow Championship. Seven races were scheduled over the three day span. Light shifting winds greeted the sailors on Thursday, with Kent Haeger/ Brad Roble leading after three races. Day two offered a much more consistent breeze, and after another set of three races, Steve Schmidt/ Matt Prange took the lead. With no wind on the final day, Schmidt/Prange claimed the ILYA title and the coveted right to sport the red C scow emblem on the top of their sails from now on. – Results
