J/70 North Americans begin Thursday

Eighty-one J/70 teams are assembling in Rochester, New York for the second annual J/70 North American Championship. Competitors from Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Sweden and the United States will compete July 17-20. Heather Gregg Earl will seek to defend the title she won at the inaugural J/70 North American Championship last September in Annapolis, Maryland. This event is also one of the final qualifiers for the first ever J/70 World Championship, taking place in Newport, Rhode Island from September 8-13. Event website: www.j70nac.com
