The U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Championship has attracted 33 Laser Radial sailors to San Diego, CA, but so far the three day event (July 18-20) has been all about Sophia Reineke from Ft Lauderdale, FL.

On Saturday, Simone Staff (Los Angeles, Calif.) was nearly able to match Reinke’s pace, as they both posted two bullets during the four races held.

Racing concludes Sunday.
