Published on July 23rd, 2014

Long Beach Island, NJ (July 23, 2014) – The 2014 c420 North Americans finished the third day of the four day schedule, with the start of the Gold and Silver racing in sunny skies and building sea breeze. Four races were sailed on the trapezoid course with the gold fleet sailing the outer loop and silver on the inner loop. The breeze for the first two races were ranging from 8-12 kts, with the last two races in 15-18kts with nice chop.

Martina Sly and Ian Morgan continue their grip on the lead, remaining consistent by posting a 7,3,2,4, to now hold a 27 point lead. Nick Hernandez and Zack Jordan have been hanging around the top of the fleet all week, moving up to second overall after posting a 4,4,5,6. The winners of the day were certainly the team of Carter Pemberton and William Cannistaro who seemed to find a new gear in the breeze and posted a 5,6,1,3.

Racing finishes tomorrow with three races planned. Consistency will be the name of the game in the Gold and Silver rounds as there are no drops allowed in the series. Results can be found at: http://www.bbycnj.com/Results/show.php?rgtID=198
