49er, 49erFX, Nacra Sailors feel the heat

Oakcliff’s fleet and facilities took the pressure off many of the high performance teams, because they were able to charter boats and sails and take advantage of the multifaceted amenities. Condensed racing areas is trending in Olympic sailing as more arena-type venues pop up. Another innovation at this event was the umpired medal race. This quick, tight racing with umpiring had many of the top sailors asking to train more, specifically in match racing.
