Gibbs, Reineke lead High School Singlehanded Nationals

Bellingham, WA (November 1, 2014) – Fickle winds welcomed the opening day of the Cressy High School Singlehanded Championship, where the Laser Full Rig and Laser Radials divisions each have 18 skippers competing. Racing started at 11:00a with a light north east breeze, but only one race was completed in each fleet before the wind shutoff. At 3:30p another light breeze filled enough to get an additional race in each fleet completed. After two races, the leaders were Riley Gibbs (Laser; Long Beach Wilson) and Sophia Reineke (Laser Radial; Saint Thomas Aquinas).
