Over 200 compete at US Optimist Team Trials

The 2015 US Optimist Team Trials were held April 30-May 3, with 229 entrants competing in 13 races hosted by Coral Reef Yacht Club in Miami, FL. The event is used as the US qualifier for prominent championships in 2015, with Luke Arnon, Emma Cowles, Thomas Hall, Zane Rogers, and Ripley Shelley earning bids for the 2015 Worlds. The top 10 sailors qualify for the North Americans, with other events sailors will attend as a result of their rankings are IODA Asians, IODA Europeans, British Nationals and Topsport Vlaaderan (Flanders).
