Richard Reid wins Melges 24 Canadian Championship

Nine teams competed at the Melges 24 Canadian Championship, hosted by Windsor Yacht Club on July 10-12 in Windsor, Ontario. Racing was held on Lake St. Clair, with a steady 6 knot wind on Friday and Saturday allowing five races to be completed, but no wind on Sunday to allow for racing. Richard Reid’s Zingara (CAN) and his crew of Greg Douglas, Billy Gooderham and Scott Nixon finished the regatta with one point lead over Rush owned by Mike Gozzard (CAN). Rounding out the top three was KC Shannon on Shaka (USA). Shaka also was the top Corinthian boat in the regatta. Results.
