Slow start at Pan Am Games

Toronto, ONT (July 12, 2015) – Light winds prevailed for the opening day of the Pan Am Games, where 20 countries will be competing in 10 events. Only one race was completed, with USA winning in the Laser, Hobie 16, and Lightning, and Canada winning in the Sunfish.

Racing continues on Monday, July 13 (Day Two). Two races are scheduled to be held each day in the Laser, Laser Radial, Sunfish, Snipe, Lightning and Hobie 16 classes. Three races per day will be held in RS:X Men, RS:X Women and 49erFX classes. The first races of the day are scheduled to start at 11:30AM local time. A medal race will be held for each class, which will count for double points.
