Singlehanded titles to be decided at Laser US Nationals

Brant Beach, NJ (July 20, 2015) – Nearly 200 men and women will compete at this week’s U.S. Singlehanded Sailing Championships, held in conjunction with the Laser Class U.S. National Championship on July 21-24. Twelve races are planned for the Laser Full Rig and Laser Radial fleets on Little Egg Harbor Bay.
Awards for US Sailing’s U.S. Singlehanded Championships will be awarded to competitors meeting the eligibility rules for:
• George D. O’Day Trophy to the overall highest placing eligible male in Laser Full Rig.
• Helen Willis Hanley Trophy to the overall highest placing eligible female in Laser Radial.
• US Sailing medals will be awarded to the top three positions in each fleet.
