NOOD 2016 Schedule Released

In its 28th consecutive year after beginning in 1988, the National Offshore One Design Regattas, also known as the “NOODs,” have released their schedule for the 2016 season.

As the longest-running and most popular sailboat racing series in North America, the national regatta series will include five U.S. states and conclude in the British Virgin Islands.

More than 700 boats and thousands of sailors participated in the 2015 NOOD season. Competitors in race boats both large and small, took to the waters around the United States to compete in the five-stop racing series for a chance to win a berth at the championship in the British Virgin Islands in October.

St. Petersburg, FL: February 12-14 at St Petersburg Yacht Club
San Diego, CA: March 18-20 at San Diego Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club
Annapolis, MD: April 29 – May 1 at Annapolis Yacht Club
Chicago, IL: June 17-19 at Chicago Yacht Club
Marblehead, MA: July 28-31 at Boston Yacht Club
British Virgin Islands: Oct 23-28 Hosted by Sunsail
