Qualifying Series: US Match and Women’s Match Racing Champs

The Qualifying Series for both the 2016 U.S. Match Racing Championship and 2016 U.S. Women’s Match Racing Championship has been released. Only skippers invited by the Invitation Committee for the U.S. Match Racing Championships Committee (USMRCC) will be eligible to enter these Qualifying events. Skippers may request invitations to one or more of the Qualifying events. The application period for all Qualifying events opens on January 20, 2016.

Skippers may begin applying online for invitations to these events on January 20, 2016. The USMRCC Invitation Committee will begin issuing invitations to the events on February 1, 2016, and will continue to issue invitations until each event is fully subscribed.

Skippers may indicate event preferences and may request invitations to up to three (3) events.

The 2016 U.S. Women’s Match Racing Championship will be held at Annapolis Yacht Club, Annapolis, MD, September 9 -11, 2016. Teams will be competing for the Allegra Knapp Mertz and Adams Memorial Trophies.

The 2016 U.S. Match Racing Championship will be held at San Diego Yacht Club, San Diego CA, October 7 – 9, 2016. Teams will be competing for the Prince of Wales Bowl.
