All Is Analyzed: Chapter 2, Breaking Free

Using the 2013 movie ‘All is Lost’, the American Sailing Association provides a learning exercise where they go scene by scene through the film to see what can be learned from the fictional character’s decision making process as he finds himself struggling to keep his cruising boat afloat in the middle of the ocean after a collision with an errant shipping container.

Chapter 2, Breaking Free

In the second chapter of ASA’s Sailing Movie Workshop, the character breaks free from his conundrum with the use of a sea anchor. Stinking thinking or capitol idea? There are also many other actions to assess.
