Sailing Songs Game

Published on March 2nd, 2016

These are the dog days of winter and your sailing is on hold until Mother Nature says so. But sailing is your passion, so gather your sailing friends now for some pre-season training. This suggestion comes from Paul Warren…

1. Assemble a favorite compendium of sailing songs. Examples:
    • Sailing – Christopher Cross
    • Sloop John B – Beach Boys
    • Sailing – Rod Stewart
    • Son of a Son of a Sailor – Jimmy Buffett
    • Come Sail Away – Styx
2. Assemble your most hardy drinking crew – no lightweights allowed.
3. Start the music.
4. Must drink each time some variation of the word “sail” is sung, including sailor, sailing, sailed, sailboat, mainsail, foresail, etc.
5. Person who can still tie their Sperrys at the end wins.

Note: Do not play game prior to attending North U.
