Gonzalez Wins Lightning Midwinter Championship

Miami, FL (March 16, 2016) – After leading the 58th Annual Lightning Midwinter Championship for the first two days, Tom Allen tumbled hard today with a 10-10 to finish fourth overall. After entering the day tied with Tito Gonzalez in second position, Allan Terhune won the final race but it was not enough to catch Gonzalez and crew Trini Gonzalez and Alberto Gonzalez Jr who took the top position. Thirty-two teams completed nine races during the three day event. The Lightning Southern Circuit travels north for the 69th annual Winter Championship in St Petersburg, FL.
