World’s Biggest Student Regatta

Published on July 21st, 2016

The EDHEC Sailing Cup, the world’s biggest student regatta, will hold its 48th edition on March 31-April 8, 2017 in Arzon, Brittany. This French event will bring together more than 3,000 participants and 12,000 visitors.

The EDHEC Sailing Cup is in partnership with the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta, a major US college keelboat event organised by the Storm Trysail Foundation. With this joint venture, both events aim at bringing together the world’s top college sailors.

No less than 180 crews from 23 different nationalities will compete in the 2017 EDHEC Sailing Cup. The participants can sail aboard one-design class (J80, Longtze and Grand Surprise) or IRC boats. Depending on their choice, two types of sailing courses are proposed: coastal courses and leeward courses.

The EDHEC Sailing Cup is wholly organised by an association of undergraduate students. Additional details here: http://www.ccedhec.com
