Sail Canada Youth Champs at CORK

Kingston, Ontario (August 15, 2016) – The 2016 Sail Canada Youth Championships at CORK International are underway in Kingston, hosted at CORK International. Over 400 sailors, along with coaches, officials and spectators took part in the Opening Ceremony on Sunday evening in downtown Kingston.

The opening included a welcome from Kingston’s Town Crier, MP Mark Gerretson and City Councillor Peter Stroud, along with Sail Canada and CORK representatives. Radials and 420’s have two days of qualifying racing, Monday and Tuesday, with the final series scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. All other fleets start right into their final series.

Attending are 115 Radial Laser, 20 Standard Lasers, 3 Laser 4.7’s, 100 Class 420s, 7 Byte CII’s, and 30 29ers.
