On this week’s “World on Water” global sailing news show:
In this episode the two 100 Foot Super Maxis Wild Oats XI and Scallywag battle it out in the Whitsundays on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef – the largest living thing on our planet. We then go from the largest living thing on the planet to the hardest sporting event on the planet – the 2016-17 Vendee Globe single handed, non-assisted, non-stop Around the World Yacht Race in 60 foot Open 60 yachts. The Vendee Globe is known as the “Everest of Yachting”. We then follow Aussie Laser Rio Olympic Gold Medal winner Tom Burton as he takes us moment by moment through his sensational Medal Race and how he aced the Gold, then move to the Fast 40 + Class which was featured in the recent Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week and finally on the Great Barrier Reef the action last week was at the Airlie Beach Race Week.
