Highlight Video: Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2016

The 27th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup demonstrated once again that it is a compelling and intoxicating combination of many characteristics. Impressive yachts, stunning location, meticulous race management, precision teamwork, intense competition and challenging conditions create a fascinating week of yacht racing.

Now in its thirty-seventh year, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is an event of considerable standing. Title sponsor Rolex has been part of the fabric since 1984 and plays its part in growing the event with the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the International Maxi Association.

The 2016 edition will be particularly remembered for varied conditions, remarkable yachts and great competition. Racing for 52 teams took place September 5-10 over a mixture of windward-leeward and coastal courses in Porto Cervo, Italy.
