A French Navy helicopter catches up with Alex Thomson on the IMOCA Hugo Boss as he competes in the Vendée Globe. Thomson had just passed north of the Kerguelen Islands, a remote archipelago of islands in the southern Indian Ocean, known as the desolate islands. Video published on Dec 1, 2016.
