Light Winds Plague Melges 20s in Miami

Published on February 5th, 2017

Twenty-one teams came out for the second stop of the 3-event Melges 20 Miami Winter Series, held February 3-5 in Miami, FL. Light winds kept the fleet from racing on days one and three, but the breeze offered enough juice for four races on day two. Jay Golison and his all-amateur Midlife Crisis team of Steve Flam and Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic won the 5-boat Corinthian Division while the overall title went to Jason Michas aboard Midnight Blue with crew members Stu McNay, Alec Anderson, and Danielle Septembre.
