Video Highlights: Extreme Sailing Series Qingdao

The second event of the 2017 Extreme Sailing Series™ saw four thrilling days in China’s Olympic sailing city on April 28 to May 1. Seven international teams of the world’s best sailors fought tooth-and-nail to become the champion of Act 2, Qingdao “Mazarin” Cup. Living up to its reputation, Qingdao delivered everything from flat calms to huge gusts, and it was Swiss team Alinghi who came out on top. Background: The Extreme Sailing Series is in its eleventh season, with this year’s eight event tour travelling through Asia, Europe, and Australia. The platform used is the one design foiling GC32 catamaran, with the format highlighting ‘stadium’ short-course racing in front of the public.
