2017-18 World Cup Series begins in Japan

The opening event of Sailing’s 2017-18 World Cup Series will begin October 17 for more than 280 sailors from 39 nations, across eight Olympic sailing events, in Gamagori, Japan.

The top ten from each event will advance to the Medal Races, with the Men’s and Women’s Windsurfers and Skiff fleets on October 21 and the Men’s and Women’s One Person and Two Person Dinghies on October 22 to bring the event to a close.

 

SAP Sailing Analytics will be available daily, providing live tracking, sailor analytics, live weather data and racing status. The Medal Races will also be and live streamed with daily video highlights.

The World Cup Series is a World-class, annual series of Olympic sailing for elite and professional sailors. Over 2,000 of the World’s leading sailors, representing over 75 nations have competed in the World Cup Series which offers a definitive guide to the best-of-the-best in the Olympic sailing world.
