Published on January 4th, 2018

(January 4, 2018) – Fifty-eight teams from 11 countries are competing in the 29er World Championship 2018, with competitors from Canada and USA in Hong Kong for the six day event.

After Day 1 was cancelled yesterday due to excessive wind, conditions today offered 15 to 25 knots which allowed four qualifying races to be completed.

The final day of the qualifying series will take place tomorrow with four more races planned before teams are split into Gold and Silver fleets.

Racing is planned from January 3 to 8, with ten races scheduled for the Gold and Silver final series.
