Skunked at 29er World Championship

Published on January 6th, 2018

(January 6, 2018) – The final stage of the 2018 29er World Championship was postponed today when excessive wind kept the competitors ashore in Hong Kong.

After qualifying was completed yesterday, the 58 teams from 11 countries were divided into gold and silver fleets for the 10-race series over the final three days.

This was the second day when the wind exceeded class limits. Racing is planned from January 3 to 8.
