Sailing nominated for Laureus World Sports Awards

The annual Laureus World Sports Awards honor individuals and teams from the world of sports along with sporting achievements throughout the year. The 2018 Awards Ceremony will be held February 27 in Monaco.

The Awards to be presented will include best Sportsman, Sportswoman, Team, Breakthrough, Comeback, Disabled Sportsperson, Action Sportsperson, plus Lifetime Achievement and Spirit of Sport Awards, both of which are given at the discretion of the Laureus Academy.

Nominated sailing achievements are for America’s Cup winner Team New Zealand in the Team category and Vendee Globe winner Armel Le Cléac’h in the Action Sportsperson category.
