Scuttlebutt Contest: Google It
How to enter...
Fame is fleeting, but getting your name in Scuttlebutt lasts forever. The Archived Newsletter section on the Scuttlebutt website provides a Google search tool to help you find information from back issues, but we were curious who the most famous people are in the sport of sailing thus far during the Scuttlebutt era.
Your mission is to find as many people's names that have been included in previous issues of Scuttlebutt. Here are the rules:
Contest rules:
- Entry must list a minimum of ten names of people and include their search results; only names with search results of 200+ can be used (tip: see link below for Mark Reynolds to view a qualifying name; can not use Curmudgeon as a name)
- Must use the Google search tool in the Archived Newsletter section, and you can only search the Scuttlebutt website (see search link at bottom)
- Must include both first and last name in your search, and you must put quotation marks around them before submitting your search (example: To search Mark Reynolds, you enter "Mark Reynolds" in the search box)
- Entries due Tuesday, May 11, 2004; entries will only be accepted between 9:00am PST and 5:00pm PST
- The first three entries received with the most qualifying names win Scuttlebutt caps
