This image is from a series of pictures that were taken on a windy club race at the Lunenburg Yacht Club in Nova Scotia. The boat is a Bombardier 7.6. The competitors lost control of the spinnaker pole when the track control slipped prior to a jibe. They then 'went out the back door.' The boat came back up but without an intact rig.
