The PUMA Racing Team is delivering their Volvo Ocean 70 to Spain in anticipation for the October start of the Volvo Ocean Race, with this photo taken from inside the cabin looking aft. Who said these boats were wet?




Photog Amory Ross was in Kiel, Germany for the iShares Cup, where race officials estimated a daily total of 50,000 spectators, packing the shore 10 deep in glorious sunshine and a perfect 10-15 knots. Skipper Ed Baird and his Alinghi team won, capturing their third title in a row on the European Extreme 40 sailing circuit.




Scuttlebutt sponsor Morris Yachts has announced the latest addition to their M-Series line - the Morris Yachts M29. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, it is intended for short or single-handed sailing. Hull 1 will be launched in February.




The buzz surrounding the BMW Oracle Racing team's 90-foot trimaran has been epic. In anticipation of a favorable ruling by the New York Court of Appeals, the team has been trialing its Deed of Gift challengers in the waters surrounding Anacortes, WA, which is where the boat was constructed.
