A parade during the 2009 Optimist European Team Racing Championship in Pieve di Ledro, Italy.  Alex Thomson went keel walking on his IMOCA Open 60 HUGO BOSS in the Solent. Alex said, “I’ve wanted to stand on the keel while sailing for a couple of years, and last week in 17-20 knots of breeze I stood on the keel whilst sailing wearing a HUGO BOSS suit. It was pretty dangerous but a real buzz.”  As the host of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 09, the new Yacht club on the island is turning heads and people are now calling it “The Opera House of Queensland”. Lots of carbon throughout, with the the first complete hull and deck due by late September.  The Flying Dutchman class is alive and kicking here in Riva del Garda, Italy.
