From Jonathan Harley: "These photos are of the Providence College Sailing Team 'Blessing of the Fleet'. Students raised enough funds to purchase 12 new LaserPerformance Collegiate FJs. The boats were brought to campus and lined up outside the Student Center. They were blessed by PC Chaplin Father James Cuddy and assisted by Dean of Student Affairs Steven Sears. The new fleet will be used to build the PC program and enable to school to host larger regattas."

From William Tuthill: "The 100 foot [30 meter] Super Maxi Speedboat is like a dry-sailed dinghy in the 300 ton travel lift at the Newport Shipyard in Newport, RI."

How would you change your truck's oil if you had a travel lift? Photo by Leighton O'Connor.

The snow covered Olympic mountain range provide the backdrop for the 2010 Sperry Top-Sider Seattle NOOD Regatta. Photo by Dave Ferguson.

Pictured above is the welcoming party for Jessica Watson as she entered Sydney Harbour (Australia) after her seven month odyssey sailing solo non-stop around the world on Ella's Pink Lady. Photo from Valencia Life Network.

The Antilles School in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands has been generating some of the best youth sailors in the high school and college events. Here is their sailing team's 2010 graduating class. Do you think their excellence has anything to do with the weather?

This was taken during the U.S. Match Racing Championship (Group ABC Championship) in Larchmont, New York. Nice move by the lead boat! Photo by Maureen C. Koeppel.

Sping time means that the Chicago Match Race Center is open for business with their fleets of TOM 28s (shown) and Elliot 6ms. In the background is also their floating clubhouse.
