(July 24 2009) The Robie Pierce One Design Regatta for Sailors with Disabilities was held for the first time at American Yacht Club, Rye, NY. Co-hosted by American & Larchmont Yacht Clubs,June 5-7, 2009.
It was show case of 22 teams moving beyond disabilities for fun and competition in Ideal 18' sailboats. Both physical and sight impaired raced in the event. Winning team was Mark Leblanc, Alex Streb & Tim Angle.
