(August 13, 2010) Even at the highest level of sport, athletes are reminded that they must enjoy what they do. To break up the monotony of their training in the Olympic boardsailing event, Kevin Stittle and David Hayes from Canada and Mariano Reutermann of Argentina went on a 62 mile distance run on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada.
Reaching speeds of nearly 30 mph, with the wind waves providing frequent launch ramp, this spectacular footage follows the group from Thornbury, around Christian Island and returning back to Collingwood. This video was provided by Benjamin Rouse of Resolve Films, whose mandate is to promote sailing and raise the profile of the sport in Canada.
