Qingdao, China - 2008 Olympic Sailing Venue
(December 30, 2004) The early weather predictions for the 2008 Olympic Sailing venue in Qingdao, China is for light winds. The graphs below are from August 2004 - the same month as the '08 Olympics - and were gathered from the U.S. website of the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), which is (apparently) working in conjunction with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the U.S. and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
The top graph details the mean wind speed (in yellow) and the maximum sustained wind speed (in red).
