Alfa Romeo beat an enormous field of 1,983 yachts to take line honours in the Barcolona 35 in Italy in front of a quarter of a million spectators this past weekend. "I have never seen anything like it," said Alfa Romeo tactician, Brad Butterworth, who also performed the same role on America's Cup winner Alinghi. "The crowd, the people, the excitement, the boats - everything at the finish was bigger than even the America's Cup!"
