Now in its 8th year, the event was conceived as an end of season get together for yachts to partake in some 'easy-going' racing. The yachts, for the most part, were certainly not designed to compete. Unique rules and pursuit racing have made it fun, and with the support of with sailmakers Elvstr�m Sobstad, the regatta has been renamed The Superyacht Cup.
This lighthearted competition across the clear waters of the bay of Palma de Mallorca provides a rare opportunity for superyacht owners to relax and enjoy sailing their yachts in the company of fellow owners, with a reassuringly safe form of racing, in an atmosphere of informal competition and camaraderie.
