Under warm and sunny skies, Traverse Area Community Sailing (TACS) hosted a large crowd of supporters recently at the dedication ceremony of their new boathouse on Boardman Lake near downtown Traverse City. Gordon and Jean Cornwell, lifelong sailors in the area, have supported TACS from the beginning and many of their grandchildren are TACS Alumni. Because of the support of this wonderful family, both financially and as volunteers, the TACS Board has chosen to honor them by naming the boathouse the ‘Gordon and Jean Cornwell Sailing Center’.
