This image was used in an email marketing campaign for the PUMA online store. Is the PUMA boat participating in the Volvo Ocean Race or a booze cruise?

Robin Team and his team on the J/122 Teamwork are on a roll. They won the IRC 2 division at Acura Miami Grand Prix in March, clinched the IRC fleet victory in the 408 mile re-inaugural Lauderdale to Charleston Race earlier in April and last week won the Palmetto Cup perpetual trophy for the first overall winner in the most competitive PHRF class during Charleston Race Week. This photo hit hard, as it was taken of the Cynthia Woods crew before the Regata de Amigos race in June 2008, and before the boat lost its keel in the Gulf of Mexico that led to the death of crewman Roger Stone. As the contributor states, it was taken "before the tragedy and death, before the shattered dreams, before all the finger-pointing - a time when they were hopeful and excited about their 650 mile trek down the Gulf, with no thought of the life changing events that would unfold in the coming days." It is a good reminder to always take team pictures before heading out to sea. Photo by Taryn Cornelius

Pictured, from left, standing are Steven Guy, Captain Jim Atchley, Joseph Savana and Travis Wright. Sitting from left are Steve Conway, Ross Busby and Roger Stone.

Nice to see the new U.S. company Summit Yachts have continued success with their first offering, the King 40. Shown here is the King 40 'Tokoloshe', owned and helmed by South African Mike Bartholomew, on their way to winning the first major event of the UK calendar this year, the RORC Red Funnel Easter Challenge. In a generally light airs series she was chased throughout the event by the Mills MAT 12 Foxy of Jan-Willem Jannink, but consistent scoring in Class 0 saw Tokoloshe take the no-discard title with all podium placings: 2,1,2,2,1,3. Assisted by local expert Mike Richards and South African sailmaker Rick Nankin they exhibited particularly strong downwind speed to secure the result, mirroring last years win at this event by the King 40 01 Blondie.
