After 30 years in the location where Lowell North started North Sails, there is now little left to recognize of the group's first full-size production loft. The San Diego facility had moved to newer digs in Spring 2008, and the building was recently flattened for future development. What are the odds of this waterfront lot becoming park space?

Chris Nesbitt and his team from Balboa Yacht Club Sunday won the 2009 Butler Cup, an ISAF Grade 5 match race hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club.
