Will Tuthill reports last week, "25 out of the last 30 days have featured RAIN in Newport, R.I., but today was insane with bolts of lightning, gusty winds, and loud claps of thunder. Leighton O'Connor got this photo of Dawn Treader experimenting with a new watch system during the Marblehead-Halifax Race start - all off. The doublehanded 1D35 Relentless after the start of the 2,225 mile Transpac, with Tim Fuller driving and Erik Shampain hiking. It was a doubleheader this week for America's Cup maxi-multihull launchings, with the Alinghi 5 catamaran splashing for the first time (via helicopter) while the BOR 90 trimaran returned to the water after a four month re-fit.
