For anyone that thought Mercury racing was for old men, this photo of Chris Raab and Kenny Dair winning the Nationals last week on San Francisco may dispell that notion. Or at least it shows a couple of 'older men' working their arse off.






Twenty-eight teams participated in the 2009 Beneteau First 36.7 North American Championship last week in Detroit, MI, hosted by Bayview Yacht Club. The event was won by Port Credit, Ontario's Richard Reid and "Zingara". Photos by Meredith Block/blocksail.com.




Last week at the Knickerbocker Cup, the winds were light but the competition was hot. Raced in Colgate 26, this match race event was won by Reuben Corbett (NZ) with Dave Perry (USA) in second, with these two teams in the photo above from Andrea Watson.




Here is the Blackaller Buoy in San Francisco Bay, which is to honor local champion Tom Blackaller. The 20th anniversary of his passing will be September 7, 2009. Photo by Erik Simonson.
