Provided by Ralph Godkinfrom MEXORC 2010 (Feb 28th thru March 6th, 2010) in Riviera Nayarit, which is just minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Here is the brand new Laurie Davidson designed 69' lifting keel Pendragon VI, which missed the feeder race from San Diego to Nayarit in Banderas Bay, but was rushed down in time to be the scratch boat at MEXORC 2010. Significant Mexican government sponsorship has been used to recruit top J/24 skippers to bolster the 54 boat fleet for this week’s Nextel Cup Regatta Mexico Bicentennial Edition at Marina Rivera Vallarta Nayarit, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit.

This is the first week of the Louis Vuitton Trophy series in Auckland, New Zealand, where eight teams are sharing the two Emirates Team New Zealand yachts NZL 84 and NZL 92 in the match race event that continues through to the finals on March 21st. The Techno 293 North American Championships held Mar 5-7 in Merritt Island, Florida saw eight tight races in 4-15 knot winds. This event was the North American country qualifier for the first IOC Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore, August 14-26. Two countries were selected in both youth mens and youth womens divisions. Click here for full report.
