The LaserPerformance Sailboats Events Team have arrived in Largs, Scotland to unload the 160 Laser Radial Charter Boats sent to Largs for the forthcoming World Championships!




Photographer Rick Tomlinson sends this photo from the 79th edition of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, where 1,754 boats raced in the 50 mile course around the Isle of Wight in England.




While no Beneteau boat would be confused as an all-out racer, their line of products is seeking to combine performance, comfort, and affordability. Their latest offering is the FIRST 30, designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, well known for his contributions in the Volvo Ocean Race and the Grand Prix racing circuit. The First 30 will make its North American debut at the United States Sailboat Show taking place October 7th-11th in Annapolis, MD.

Sixteen year old Bahamian Christopher Sands has been selected to represent his country in the Laser Radial at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2010, to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on July 8-17.




As if BP hasn't made enough of a mess in the Gulf of Mexico, now they are screwing around with the sport of sailing too.




Share in the joy of this note from SoCal top sailor and good guy Bob Little (aka 'Peaches'): "I couldn’t hide my enthusiasm for sharing this photo with you. Here is a picture of Bobby (peaches) Little, 7 yrs old, sailing a sabot for the first time ever on Fathers Day. The picture was taken in Alamitos Bay and as you can relate, brings back many great memories as a kid. He started sailing Lido 14’s with me when he was 5." Right on!
