Posted on the Facebook page for Team USA that attended the IODA Optimist European Championship July 2-10, 2010 in Poland. Looks like the euros are into pimping out their rides, and the sail storage tent nicely handled the 250 Opti rigs to save time and wear and tear on the sails.  The Bahamian team before departing for the Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from July 17, 2010 to August 1, 2010. Pictured with Sir Durward Knowles (seated) from left to right are: Jimmie Lowe, Lori Lowe, Donico Brown, 19, Chris Sands, 17, Michael Holowesko, 15, and John Lawrence. Sir Durward was the first Bahamian Gold Olympic medalist (Star Class), with the medal he won at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo hanging in the right side of the photo.  Skirfing becomes possible when combining a 29er with the sailing conditions at the Gorge, as seen here at their Pacific Coast Championship last weekend. More photos here. An inaugural three-event series organized in 2010 to energize the Melges 24 in the western U.S. - the Melges California Cup - went to Lake Tahoe (July 8-10) for the amazing scenery and challenging alpine conditions.
